Halted Between Two Worlds: Letting Go Of Who You Were To Become Who You Are
Dear Leaders,
You know, it has taken 13 years of personal, professional and leadership development, to understand who I am as a natural born leader; how I was engineered to lead and what message I am to deliver to my assigned domain of influence. I am excited about this because the redevelopment of my mindset was purposefully intense to dismantle how I perceived the world, my core beliefs and myself!
In truth, I have not always been a willing participant in this transformation endeavor. For becoming the Teresa I need to be to step into new possibilities meant letting go of the previous version of myself; some people I love; the places I had become accustomed; the things I worked hard to acquire and the influence that I earned. I had to remember that new wine cannot survive in old wine skins.
My unwillingness to let go of my former world forced me to stay in environments that I had long outgrown; became detrimental to my physical and mental well-being; delayed the progression of my purpose and hindered right resources from finding me.
Leaders, for those of you that maybe halted between two worlds of who you were, and who you have become, count up the cost to determine if going backwards or remaining where you stand is worth risking the time, effort and energy that was invested into your transformation. Deep within, you already know that there is only one clear path--and it is usually forward.
So, for those that choose to make room for your newfound way of thinking and being, remember that it is okay to mourn your former world and self. But after you do so, arise, express gratitude for what you have learned, set your face as flint toward your path of greatness and do not look back!
If you want to move forward and not sure how, schedule a 30-minute complimentary discovery session below and let us discover how to clear your path!
From My Heart to Yours,
Teresa
